For water boards, municipal bodies and lake trusts जल पुनर्जीवन

Lakes that clean themselves again.

A lake stays clear when its ecology is whole. We restore the ecology, and watch it with instruments, day and night.

No
dredging: the lake is restored, not scraped
24 h
readings of oxygen, pH and clarity

Why lakes die झील क्यों मरती है

Dredging removes silt once. The next monsoon brings it back.

Lakes elsewhere stay clear without dredging because their ecology is whole: what flows in is treated, the margins are planted, oxygen reaches the bed, and a living food chain does the cleaning every day. We restore that ecology.

How a lake comes back · Nothing is dredged

Six steps, with instruments watching every one.

  1. 01

    Survey

depth, inflows, a nutrient budget and baseline samples

  2. 02

    Treat the inflow

a planted reed bed cleans what flows in, before it enters

  3. 03

    Plant the water

floating wetlands take up the waste that feeds the scum

  4. 04

    Bring oxygen back

microalgae put oxygen back, down to the bed

  5. 05

    Watch it

buoys read oxygen, pH and clarity every few minutes

  6. 06

    Twin it

a live digital twin shows what the water needs next

What restoration has done elsewhere

Treat what flows in, and a lake recovers.

3×
clearer water in Lake Washington, Seattle, within a decade of diverting the sewage that flowed in
80%+
less phosphorus in Lake Constance, on the German, Austrian and Swiss border, by treating what flowed in
90%
less organic waste at Neela Hauz, Delhi, after a planted wetland was built at the inlet

Results elsewhere, by other methods of treating what flows in: Edmondson, Lake Washington; IGKB, Lake Constance; CPCB to NGT, 2020.

What we measure and report

A baseline before work begins, then every month.

  • Dissolved oxygenread live
  • pH and temperatureread live
  • Clarityread live
  • Carbontaken up by plants and algae, logged in the twin
  • BOD and CODsampled, lab-tested
  • Nitrogen and phosphorussampled, lab-tested
  • Faecal coliformsampled, lab-tested
  • Algal bloomchlorophyll, sampled

The same method, for every kind of water.

The digital twin जीवित प्रतिरूप

Every lake and river we restore is mirrored live, with its carbon logged, so you see what it needs before it shows.

  1. 1Ghats and stepsthe bank people use, kept in the model
  2. 2Floating wetlandstake up the waste that feeds the scum
  3. 3Sensor buoysoxygen, pH and clarity every few minutes
  4. 4Data to the twinevery reading, live, in one model
  5. 5Reed-bed filtercleans the drain before it enters
  6. 6Water column and bedoxygen tracked down to the bed

What happens next

Every lake starts with a survey.

  1. 01You write to usabout the water, who looks after it and what flows in.
  2. 02Surveydepth, inflows, a nutrient budget and baseline samples.
  3. 03A plan you can measurethe six steps for your water, and what we report every month.
